I started woodworking in March 2020 and quickly fell in love with creating useful, beautiful pieces. As a cancer survivor, I appreciate every day I get to work with my hands and create something lasting.
Since starting, I've donated over 100 cutting boards and serving pieces to local organizations. When I'm not in the workshop, you'll find me camping with family or playing with my grandchildren.
Each cutting board is crafted with care using traditional techniques and sustainable materials, designed to last for generations of family cooking.
From beginner to skilled craftsman - learning the art of working with wood, one board at a time.
Picked up woodworking as a hobby in March. By July, I was making my first cutting boards and learning about grain direction and wood types.
Skills improved as I learned to select good wood and understand how different species behave. Started focusing on grain patterns.
Workshop became more organized and techniques improved. Developed my own style and reached 100 donated pieces.
Now working with confidence, creating both simple cutting boards and complex live edge pieces designed to last generations.
